Do note: there are two different ROM versions these can have. On ones with newer software, you might get a "Failed to authenticate" error, no idea how to fix that (yet). I did this using a PiHole but you can do it really any way as long as you set it up so that www.internic.net, www.icq.com, and www.yahoo.com resolve to any IP that returns HTTP 200 (all those domains use HTTPS, so they return a redirect code instead) and that gdata.youtube.com resolves to a YT2009 instance (you can just find one that runs on an IP and use that). After that you should be good to go, this should work on any DVD player that has this YouTube app (and maybe a few other devices as well, this API was very widely used)
