Yet Another Crappy Disco Light Teardown! With Some Keritech News

time3 mo agoview0 views

Discombobulating a crappy Manta disco light, because @bigclivedotcom has done it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ba4YoZEuhwM and @FranLab has done it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzEUzgBUtek, and now I got mine too. Saved it from premature trashing.

Just how cheap and crappy can they get? Mine sets the new standards of discombobulatibility... It almost fell apart in my hands. No tools required for splitting the enclosure in half.

There's not much to reverse engineer about this light - it's just three LEDs wired in series with a motor piggybacked on the green one. The string is fed from probably the cheapest SMPS one can think of.
