This is a movie of a Work in Progress model, which will be shown at my AGU presentation. It shows about 1.5Ma evolution of the Cascadia subduction zone and the development of Crystal Preferred Orientation (CPO). The model is not ready for actually usage, but is a good showcase of the progress which has been made.

On the left and bottom right there is a top view of the region. The bottom right panel show the viscosity with colors at the top and velocity fields with the colored arrows. The ridges are clearly viable in the light colors. The top right panel show a cross-section through the model, where the cylinders show the elastic fast direction. The two white lines outline 100km and 200km depth. The left figure show the the development of the CPO and the velocity field bewteen 100km and 200km depth, viewed from above.
