I have started development of v1.5.0 of Spaceships which will mainly focus on bot players, which will enable a functional singleplayer. Calling these bot players “AI” overstates the complexity of these bots and unfairly associates them with modern day AI slop. These bot players move towards a target player following a path generated using weighted A* and shoot using a simple algorithm.
