The most dramatic of the UK BLM protests was in Bristol, where protestors pulled down a statue of notorious slave trader Edward Colston. The killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis sparked enormous protest across the United States, and in June those protests went global. The day after, Michael Walker, Aaron Bastani and Ash Sarkar discussed the action and challenged some of the common criticisms being made of the protestors.
