Visual description and context statement @Dr Zoyander Street The natural thing to do here would be to link to the video I talk about and the blog post I wrote. But of course, we're not able to do that, because the need to extend the length of a user session is more important to these corporations than the need for people to access information and connect with one another. If we were using Indieweb tools we could even use webmentions to notify each other when we respond to their work on a totally different platform to where it originated! Linking is literally a fundamental affordance of the internet, and we've allowed corporations to take it away... for what? a larger audience? a second income? let's not pretend this is a cool "basement culture", it's bourgeois as hell.
