Verdronken Land

Sometime ago I was playing the Korg Volca Modular and managed to get a 'cello' like sound out of it and recorded it. Recently I combined it with some fieldrecordings of the rain I recorded and a sample of some churchbells from Freesound (thanks Audeption!).

This summer's floodings & L's talk on the biggest natural disaster in recent times of the Netherlands: "The North Sea Flood of 1953" inspired me to combine my track with footage of a flood. In my case one from 1925 which took place in the southern part of the Netherlands. I've re-edited the original movie, changed the colors and added more contrast.
