Don't mind the beeping. It's just my oscilloscope that has its quirks, it's not THE BOMB (I'm not doing a collab with EEVBlog on that AtEx leakage sensor, ha!).
To conclude, these transformers won't go over midrange, which disqualifies them in their current form. It may be because the impedance rises dramatically with frequency and 5k is where it begins. The leakage inductance lowers the transformer's frequency response and it apparently is a problem here, with the split spool and gaps in the core. I'll be doing some more experimenting, only using fully covered ferrite pot core, and litzwire for the multifilar windings to reduce the leakage inductance. Hope that's gonna get me somewhere...
