This is a client/server protocol/software used by all local area networks. DHPC is managed by administrators. DHCP allows a variety of IP information to be deployed depending on the administrator of the network. IP addresses are rented! DHCP protocol supports both IPv4 and IPv6. How IP addresses are typically given in a home and small business network.
