Dr Peter Knapp, air quality scientist turned film-maker. After finishing a doctorate in air quality, I went to southern Europe to record the stories of people who witnessed, studied, and fought wildfires. I found links with big business and the far right. The resulting film, Fires and Fascism, explores how people are exploring the power of communities to fight against intense wildfires, capitalism, and fascism.
