When riding your bike in a city, sometimes you're forced to stay as far to the right of the road as possible to avoid getting splattered by a vehicle coming up behind you, which pushes you right into the door zone — that space beside a row of parked cars where a driver can open a car door right in front of you. That's called getting doored, and it's the worst.

Here are a couple of simple tips to avoid that.
