A short video of a 2 day north to south crossing of the Sierra Nevada from Pradollano to Lanjarón in July 2025.

Route takes in Refugio Elorrieta, Laguna de Lanjarón (bivouac), Refugio Peñon Colorado, Refugio Vivac Loma de Cáñar, Piedra de los Pajeros and Loma de Cáñar, finishing at the Mirador de Cáñar above Lanjarón.

During this hike we also visited the source of the Río Lanjarón which lies about 200 meters east of the Laguna de Lanjarón. The second day's descent of 1300 meters and 13 kilometers to the finish was tough as we descended pathless terrain into the heat of the day.
