On 18 September 2024 unknown missiles caused explosion in Russia's Main Missile and Artillery Directorate ammunition depot in Toropetsk, Tver oblast'. The storage intended capacity is 30'000 tons of ammunition and the explosions were visible from many kilometers away and lasted for the whole day. The first video shows Russia's minister of defense opening the depot in 2019. Subsequent video shows an unknown missile flying above local residents in the area with characteristic whistling sound, which may indicate a turbojet engine. Further videos show overnight explosions and damage to villages where continued explosions are heard during the day.
