Today, Tuesday May 2, Palestine mourned the loss of Khader Adnan, who passed away after 87 days on hunger strike. Adnan died in an Israeli prison cell, where he was being held under administrative detention - a policy that Israel uses to imprison Palestinians without charge or trial. As of Tuesday evening, Israeli authorities were detaining Adnan’s body, and were refusing to release him for burial. Adnan is survived by his wife Randa Moussa and their nine children. He is also survived by 4,900 Palestinian political prisoners currently in Israeli prison, and by millions of Palestinians who carry his legacy and fight for justice and freedom with them. — #KhaderAdnan #PalestinianPrisoners #administrativedetention #hungerstrike #Israel #Palestine #WestBank #Gaza #GazaStrip #occupation #apartheid #colonization #settlements #IDF #IsraelDefenseForce #MiddleEast #HumanRights #InternationalLaw #BDS #Boycott #Divestment #Sanctions #Zionism #FreePalestine
