Attempting a repair on an old IBM Thinkpad T43. Hopefully, replacing the ribbon cable would fix the color problem...

Unfortunately it didn't. Backlight still dying too. So, the ticon board or the LCD itself is dead. What is more, one of the RAM slots was dead (bent pins) and it was through the sheer coincidence that it worked at first. Might try bending the pins back in shape as they seem to have collapsed. Meh.

Nice try though. This laptop may be a source of parts for reviving another dead one though.

Even OpenCamera cuts down videos, despite setting max size to 9GiB, more than the camera's limitation. Meh agtain.
