The Standoff #jamuary2021 #jamuary - Day 01

time10 mo agoview2 views

First jam for #jamuary2021.

Had some fun with the Yamaha Reface CP and the Korg NTS-1. The end result sounds to me like a starting point for something suitable for a Western movie.

I've connected one output of the Reface into the Korg NTS-1 which went into the Zoom H5. The other Reface output was directly connected to the Zoom H5. Doing this allowed me to apply effects on one part of the recording without affecting the other. Basically using the stereo outputs as single mono outputs.

From the Zoom H5 I've transfered the recorded tracks to Audacity. In Audacity I've amplified the recording a bit and copied the track with the effects from the NTS-1. I used the paulstretch plugin on the copied track and balanced this with the other mono tracks.

The video is a re-editted version (to make it fit the music) of the Atom Bomb Effects movie from Internet Archive.
