If you start by getting the cereals, then get the fine wine and then the gunpowder, when you put the ingredients in the cooking pot you only have to scroll your inventory twice insted of three times. Movement-wise, it isn't clear whether this route is faster than the route getting the gunpowder first. To avoid having to scroll the inventory twice in a row, you can scroll it once before using the second-to-last ingredient, and another time before using the last one.
The movement at the beginning is tricky, but holding Tab since the moment you skip the "sigh" until you open the cupboard makes it easier. In this version, Guybrush doesn't look at exits of the current screen when you right-click or press tab on them. That means that Tab works the same way as pressing Enter until you reach the cupboard, where holding Tab will open it (which is what you want). While Guybrush is opening the cupboard, you can reposition your hand in order to start holding Enter.
