The Schuman Show: June Opening Monologue | Nuclear war summer, NATO defense spending, "Daddy" Trump

#SchumanShow Join our host Kelly Agathos in her opening monologue for our June 2025 edition live show. Watch now as The Schuman Show continues to bring you a quick rundown of what's been going on in European and global politics lately!

In this opening monologue, Kelly points out how the United States are meddling in other people's affairs again. Initially negotiating nuclear deals in the Middle East, Trump ultimately found himself as the middleman between Israel & Iran... and failing miserably in brokering a ceasefire between the two countries. 2003 vibes, anyone? There are a few too many coincidences for comfort. On our side of the pond, EU diplomats at the European External Action Service (EEAS) are still struggling in deciding what to do with the situation in Gaza. The decision to review the EU-Israel association agreement is delayed, again... Don't they know that procrastination doesn't get rid of the problem? In other news, the NATO summit was hailed as a "resounding success" due to the increase in defense spending by member states. Mark Rutte also had some other, err, comforting words for Trump, casually calling him Daddy.
