The piece was influenced by a south Indian horror movie called 'Manichitratazhu' which translates to 'The Ornate Lock'. I watched this movie as a child and got absolutely terrified of the BG music and sounds. They never showed a ghost or an extra terrestrial being in the movie rather played with the imagination of the audience which in my opinion was quite powerful.

Recently I started to think back over the feelings that captivated me as child while watching this movie and tried to compose to piece. Hope it gives you at least as slight sense of the essence of this wonderful movie.

A short voice over from the movie was recorded and down tuned. I added some visuals as well which resonated to me in the process.
