The kolmi flower is a very familiar and soft aquatic flower of our rural Bengal. I took this video on a rainy morning, when there was light fog around and the scent of dew in the air. That morning was completely calm, the birds were making soft sounds, and the sun was slowly spreading over the rice fields in the distance. I was walking along a canal near the village, where a lot of kolmi flower bushes have grown.

At that time, my eyes fell on a bunch of white-purple kolmi flowers. The dew drops on the leaves had not yet fallen, and each petal was swaying in the light breeze. I felt like I might make a mistake if I didn't capture this beauty on camera. So I took out my mobile phone and started recording the video.

At the beginning of the video, you can see the petals of the kalmi flower swaying in the light breeze. A bee suddenly stopped on a flower nearby. Then, the dew drops collected on the leaves slowly rolled down to the grass below. When the sunlight reflected on the drops, a small rainbow played in one corner of the screen.

In another part of the video, I showed the internal structure of the flower—the light purple design in the middle of the white petals and the flashes of light playing between the green leaves along the flower stem. The flowers were spread out on the water in such a way that it seemed that nature had created a canvas with its own hands and given the kalmi flower the central form.

While recording the video, I paid close attention to light, color, and movement. I tried to maintain the natural movement and atmosphere of the flowers. I did not make any additional zoom or color changes, because I wanted the flower to bloom in the video as it does in reality. I shot the entire video in handheld mode, so that the natural curves and parts of the environment could be captured properly.

While making this video, I felt that nature gives us many gifts every day, but we often do not see them with our eyes. Even a simple aquatic flower like the kalmi flower can bring peace to our hearts, if we take a little time to appreciate it.
