Supporting the launch of TeamSeas.org aiming to raise $30M to remove 30M lbs of plastic from the Oceans. In real money that works out at about £1.50 per kg.
Removing plastic is really important to us as oceans are critical to the well-being of our planet. They are being hit by pollution, climate change and over-fishing. This tackles one of these in a way that helps the Oceans cope with the others.

We look at how important saving the Oceans is for Sustainable Sailing. Plus some of the things we are doing to reduce the chances of us adding to the problem. Also we share the Plastic Recycling we want to do while sailing, thanks to Precious Plastic https://preciousplastic.com/
We are refitting a 44 year old Rival 38 for a Sustainable Sailing retirement in a few years. Two years ago, when we bought Vida she was in a very tired and damp condition with all original equipment and fittings. We have removed all the gas, diesel and paraffin equipment, and are installing all electric (motor, cooking etc). Now that the inside is dry (thanks to new windows, new hatches and leak chasing) we are fitting her out for live-aboard world cruising.
