SWERC 2018: ICPC South-Western Europe Regional Contest

SWERC (South-Western Europe Regional Contest) is a prestigious international programming contest for the world-wide International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). It was organized by faculty from Télécom Paris and from École Normale Supérieure. SWERC 2018 was won by a team from ENS Ulm Paris, followed by a team from ETH Zürich. These two teams will represent South-Wwestern Europe at the ICPC World Finals, to be held in Porto this April. With 89 teams registered and 267 students from 49 institutions, the 2018 edition broke participation records. The contestants competed on eleven problems and received one balloon for each solved exercise. Over 280 balloons were distributed. The contest was supported by the Europe Sponsor Huawei, Gold sponsors Lokad and Systran, Silver sponsors Almerys, Facebook, Région Île-de-France and Télécom Paris, Bronze sponsors Criteo Labs and Inria, and World Finals sponsor Jetbrains.
