A quick look at how we put together a studio shoot to give the feeling of those summer evenings when the sunlight streams in low and fills the dining table with golden hues. We shot this scene for a client as a reel, but also grabbed a few scenes in 4K shown here.

As usual, the real hard work was down to Shellie Froidevaux making the set look amazing, and the food taste every bit as good as it looks. Always funny to me when people talk about faking food shots, which is such a last century way to think about food photography. We only shoot real food, there's no need to make it fake! But that's the essence of our style. We capture reality because that's where the joy is.
