Compilation of works done in Barcelo in Barcelona

##Inside - out -Audiotalaia sound art workshop, Barcelona Collaboration : Joan Cotros and Arsu The concept Inside- out was to make audible the sound was going on inside of us outside and vice versa. For that we have used a contact microphone on the throat to pick up the vibrations from the vocal chord before it comes out of the mouth. The result was quite surprising and playful to us as the words spoken could not be understood and almost sounded like a completely different language. For me personally it reminded me of someone speaking in tongues. This was further amplifies though the speakers and places on both sides of the listener. To bring the outside sound inside, we have used the sounds of the natural world (birds, thunder, rain) and amplified it through two transducer speakers which was hung on a sculptural form. The listener has to place these two speakers onto the forehead and listen to it through the inner ear without it being heard outside. As far as my contribution is concerned, I have done the production and post production of all the sounds as well as helped create the sculptural form. It was conceptualised all together. I also helped in the installation of transducer speakers as well as the installation of equipments for loop playback.

Sounding rock - Audiotalaia sound art workshop, Barcelona

Concept : This work is location based project as the mountain we were in Barcelona had many small rock pieces lying around with different patters exposing their characteristics and age. We have used this textures on the rocks as an inspiration to compose tracks. There were 4 pieces of rocks. We gave these 4 pieces to 4 different musicians to interpret it in their on ways while the only rule being that it had be reflection of the physical appearance whether it be the colour or the shape. The result was a mixture of poetry, electronic, xylophone as well as singing. Thereafter we have place 4 rocks on a pedestrial along with 4 headphones aligned together with the respected ones.

##Concert 1-On the fields Collaboration : Ludwig, Emma Fern Open concert on the fields of El polell. I was standing near a tree which had a kinetic sonic installation with my field recorder, boom pole and microphone connected to the mixer along with the other two musicians. I had to move the installation manually at some point when there was lack of wind.

##Concert 2 - Final concert towards the end of the workshop Collaboration : All who participated at the workshop This event took place in an old church which was not providing services anymore. This building is from the 18th century and had a fantastic acoustics to it. My contribution here was controlling the mixer along with Emma fern.
