Fear for their families’ safety and anger over Israel's indiscriminate bombing campaign in Gaza are the only things on the minds of the hundreds of Palestinians currently studying medicine in Cuba.

Since October 7, nearly one hundred of these students from Gaza have been living in a state of uncertainty, almost completely cut off from their families—who have been forced to flee their homes with no food, water or electricity.
