An improvised singdance sketch on the rocks at the shore of Waldo Lake.
As the rocks themselves influenced my movement, and my movement affected my voice, I can say that this singdance is utterly unique to the stage on which it was produced. This work shows the strength of singdancing as a medium for the expression -- and protection -- of our natural environment.
Created and performed simultaneously by singdancer Vanessa Nowitzky. Videotaped by Sangye Ince-Johannsen. Waldo Lake, Oregon, November 2nd, 2019.
