Septima Poinsette Clark (1898 - 1987), an Educator from South Carolina and a significantly under-appreciated Activist in the US Civil Rights Movement. Martin Luther King Jr even referred to her as "the Mother of the Movement" on multiple occasions. Originally posted Feb 2023.
