Pearly doesn't get to roam free on the land (too many dangers) but she does get to spend some time on wire fence enclosed porch. In early spring it catches some sun on good days, nice place for a roll about! In summer, I put up a shade. Now that she is the only cat, she gets an occasional stroll off the porch (her brother Spot who died a while back was more of a potential flight risk). Not that appealing yet as everything is either mud or snow or water, but soon she'll be able to look at grass, flowers, bugs!
