Vortrag von MultisampledNight
Short intro into security, cryptography and threat modeling, then a primer on encryption and full-disk encryption. Finally a dive into how I, personally, solved this on my devices and and open discussion on how to make technology more secure for everyone, not just for those present here.
Intended for a general audience, no expert knowledge required: Bring your friends and family! Questions always allowed!
We live in weird times. Everyone who's health insured in Germany has a digital file containing their medical procedures (unless they've explicitly opted out), simultaneously almost everyone carries smartphones with layers of opaque, locked down and magic-seeming technology.
We cannot expect a solution from nation-wide politics here. We need to share and enhance knowledge ourselves. We need to learn how to teach.
This is an experiment. Structured like a computer science lecture, where questions are always allowed but also no input being required, but with the content being shallow enough to stay comprehensible and accessible. Later on shifting from bare allowance to active encouragement of direct participation: I want to find out how to help you and listen to you.
