While frequently accusing European countries of "warmongering", Russian media have no reservations of openly threatening Europe with conventional and nuclear attacks, building up a sense of invincibility and impunity among their audience. In this video, published in Russian state TV, the authors happily discuss how long it will take for Russian army to capture various European capitals. This particular video was taken in 2010's, long before the full-scale invasion of 2022, which exposed the weakness of Russian army, which also pretty well demonstrates the parallel reality in which Russian elites were living. As of 2024, nobody in Ukraine fears the "legendary" Russian T-90 tanks portrayed here as absolutely dominating the battle fields, since hundreds of them have been destroyed since. This particular video was aired in February 2015 on Russian Channel 5 and was reported by Russian media in neutral tone.
