Speaking at the Central and Eastern European Security Forum, Poland's minister of defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said Poland doesn't help Ukraine "solely out of romantic enthusiasm" and that the country's aid is very pragmatic, emphasizing that Ukraine is giving Europe time to better prepare for any threat. "This time is necessary, and we do not have a minute or an hour to waste. We will be held accountable for every minute of what we have done in this matter. All of us," he said. Mr. Kosiniak-Kamysz also noted that Ukraine currently has one of the best armies in the world. "It is certainly the best-trained and most battle-tested...If this army is on the side of the North Atlantic Alliance, it is much better for the Alliance, for Poland, and for all of us," he said.
