Both Sumatran and Bornean orangutans are on display at San Diego Zoo. They even got them housed together in the same enclosure. Therefore, they do not breed them. Another ape in this mixed species exhibit is the siamang, one of the lesser or small apes, like the gibbon. Although smaller, the male gibbon acts as if the enclosure is his territory and the orangutans are intruders. He is quite bossy according to one of the zookeepers. Nevertheless, in the video you see it is all peace and quiet – that's what happens when breakfast is served.
