Russian state TV’s flagship weekly news show, a soldier nonchalantly admits to killing and mutilating surrendered Ukrainian soldiers. The interviewed Russian soldier says if they suspect they may be snipers, they "preferred not to take them prisoners" (euphemism for killing on spot) or, in the best case, "cutting off their index fingers on both hands". Both practices are obviously war crimes.
