Special thanks to Worms X for the Wikimedia vector image of the Flying V guitar I used on the cat's edit.
No AI or anything remotely used. Instead using exclusively free software programs like:
- LMMS for the music.

DESCRIPTION / STORY BEHIND THIS PROJECT:
«If you fall 100 times, then rise up 101 times.»
I heard that sentence many times but honestly I don't know who's the author, and a simple web search brings too many varied results with no clear conclusion.
Anyways, for what truly matters... here we go with another video for an original composition. No remix/cover/arrangement/whatever of a game tune or anything, nobody else collabing (well, Kira the cat collabing on the video!) and a totally "MIDI sound". Fake instruments but totally true feelings and emotions.
This is also that kind of project that starts as a really small, meaningless thing that somewhat grows deep on us. I just started it as an impulsive moment of inspiration for a simple and straight "Iron Maiden style doubled lead guitars" melody. It was not until more than half a year later that I tried extending these few measures of music into an attempt of a fully-structure song.
I soon noticed that had a somewhat happy and energetic vibe and "what if we go down with the mood for a moment". That's where the idea for the "bardcore?" interlude came, to later gradually go back to power metal. I then felt like this song represents very well my feelings and mood of the moment. Just like life itself, this song has its moments of falling and then rising again at full strength.
For the video I used, once again, a bizarre mix of nature and cats, protagonized by my dear kitty Kira on the landscapes and places I had been walking around lately. Isn't she looking really cute and baddass at once with her guitar there?
It happened someday that, in the middle of such walks, I went to a different direction and got lost. And there was that piece of mountain or hills that looked like I could climb on and maybe a cooler place awaiting me on the top. While looking rather short, once I was in the middle of there I noticed that was actually a lot higher than I though it was. I'm not a mountaineer and I don't have any helpful tools for that other than my own bare hands, ordinary sport shoes and a backpack full of water and snacks to ensure I keep enough energy to continue. No humans close to the area or anyone to ask for help. But since I was there, why not to continue until the end?
And so I managed to get into the top. The place on the top was even nicer and more interesting, including a path with no end and no signs of human civilization close (not even the typical rural houses at a distance). A perfect place to just sit and stay for awhile taking a break and recovering energy via water and food supplies.
My sense of direction is as bad as that of Roronoa Zoro from One Piece. So with no human help and no GPS, phone or any helpful device I needed like 2 or 3 hours to get re-oriented and find my way back home. But... I did it! Yay! And it wasn't too long until I discovered an easier and safer method to reach that area, and then it became a common end point for my routes.
This song, just like this experience in the wilds, describes very well how life can often go: with both the lows and highs. We humans (and birds) are just like that, constantly falling once and once again. But all is okay as long as we can always stand up and continue our way, or find other ways or whatever. If you fall 100 times just rise 101 times; that's it.
In a more personal way, also saying that I'm happy with the direction I'm taking as an artist now. Sure, I'll never be anything great in merely superficial and technical terms; I might never be able to play a music instrument well enough, to compose a true masterpiece everyone might get surprised at, a production that sounds perfect clear, etc. My skills at drawing graphical stuff from scratch are a joke too, and because some logistic, financial and even personal reasons I couldn't expect to have the proper equipment and tools to make a really professional thing.
But that's where experimenting with different options and ways makes sense, even if it's not the most convenient, conventional or it's just not everyone's cup of tea. That opened so many creative paths to me... I simply can't understand why anyone would stick to AI generators and tools to make the stuff for them instead. So many things we all can do! If you can't do A or you are not good enough at B maybe you can do C, or D... or L or Z or whatever. Imagination is the limit! And I'm proud of having exactly that, even at the expense of lacking of so many other things others do have.
Like... Can't you play any instrument well? Just sequence and do MIDI stuff instead. Can't show yourself in the videos, because whatever reason? Show your cat instead! And any cool place of the real life you like. Can't draw properly or make hand-made art from scratch? Just like the point above, you can use your cats and cool places from real life instead. You can have fun toying with plenty of ideas with all that material in your graphical editor of choice. You'll get some cool ideas for sure, guaranteed!
The result of this might be not everyone's cup of tea, because whatever reason: an unusual genre or combination of influences, an eccentric taste for art, a bizarre concept for the videos... but who cares? If we all did exactly what sells best the world would be so boring! In a world with over 8 billion humans we simply can't pretend we all like and do the same exact things. There'll be always some weirdos searching for something different and more interesting on the vast oceans of the internet. And in an internet mainly dominated by something as cold and abstract as the so-called algorithms, that's such a necessary thing to bring more often! I'm just glad to be part of that small but evergrowing club of people who just do whatever they want and enjoy that.
So, well... with not much more to say for now... I just hope you enjoy this weird thing and get some feelings out of it, whatever it is. Even if just laughing at the unexpected catto moments in the video. Also, thanks and congrats for the bravery you show with the fact that you managed to read this whole wall of text until here! :)
