20 Oct 2017: Antifascist protest in Piraeus, while Nazi organization Golden Dawn “dedicated” its offices. Many people including Fyssas’ family participated in the protest, Golden Dawn re-opened its Piraeus offices in a publicity stunt. This year, some of GD’s leading members left the organization while its offices are shut throughout the country. GD is cornered by antifascist mobilization as well as the process of its trial, as the role of GD’s leaders in attacks and murders is documented. GD offices function as rally points for attacks like the one against student Alexis Lazaris last March. Until now in 2017, GD offices are shut down in Drama, Chalkis, Xanthi and Mytilene.
