This is a short excerpt from my ongoing work in progress, The Luminous Mysteries: a large-scale composition for chorus and orchestra, setting the complete prayers of the rosary. This 2.5-minute portion is the climax of the first major part of the piece. When finished, the whole composition will be more than an hour, comprising five parts (the five mysteries or decades of the rosary), which will be performable either separately or together. This is a MIDI mock-up for demonstration purposes.
