My first computer was the Acorn Electron so I was happy to win this one from ebay in the normal untested state of all the other computers I have worked on. This was by far the worst computer I have looked at and was so very dirty on the outside and corroded on the inside. I was very busy at the time so did not have chance to setup to record the first cleaning of the case and keyboard. It was quite a lot of work, but nothing to special and just taking apart and cleaning. Then we start to clean up the corroded components and clean the PCB. Then clean the rest of the case and test the stability of the system with the ELKSD64. I had a few problems that I am putting down to the cartridge not pushed on correctly so we do some testing via tape after a bit of time to get tapes loading. The rest of the video is then stability testing and final words.
