Last & Furious (MAGS v1.0.4) (AGS) Free Pixel Art Racer in Point and Click Engine Open Source Game

time4 mo agoview0 views

Last & Furious is a fun top down Retro-Racer made in ASG, a Point and Click Adventure game engine, and the really smooth scrolling is fast enough to be fun and coded really well. Easy Controls and an engaging action soundtrack makes you breeze through the beautifully pixeled racing track again and again. Some problems with the colission detection and getting stuck in the walls happens in v 1.0.4 (see start of the video...), but rare enough to not be annoying. Go play the game and have some fun and beat some round records!

And since January of 2018 this game is Open Source. Grab the sources here and learn advanced AGS scripting. http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=55534.msg636578715#msg636578715 or here https://github.com/ivan-mogilko/ags-lastfurious Learn how to program your own racing game in Adventure Game Studio!

Synopsis: 'Last & Furious' is a top-down racing game, featuring single track, two physics modes, wonky collision system and hastily set up opponent AI.

Controls: arrow keys. Car behavior: can thrust forward, steer and brake (no backpedal, sorry). Physics setup: when starting new race choose between "Safe" and "Wild" physics mode (they will give you two different experiences!). It is also possible to disable car-vs-car collisions (they still collide with the walls though).

Physics model in this game is actually configurable. If you feel adventurous, go to "Data" subdirectory. There you will find "race_safe.ini" and "race_wild.ini" files which contain parameters for related game modes.
