What should be a cherished tradition has become a life-threatening task under Israel’s military occupation.

In a village near Tulkarem, Israeli settlers and soldiers fired live ammunition at Palestinian farmers and solidarity activists who posed no threat.

The harvest took place on privately owned Palestinian land but lasted only two hours, filled with rushing and tension as armed settlers watched from a nearby settlement built on stolen land.

In Palestine, even the olive harvest isn’t safe.
