#InvisibleSuffering - #UnsichtbaresLeid is a campaign to make visible the problems of active and former soldiers of the German Armed Forces with deployment-related trauma disorders and their family members.
The short film conveys the perspective of the relatives and partners of affected soldiers.
With #InvisibleSuffering, the creation of three impressive short films has been successful. The films are not conceived as external explanatory videos in the form of reports, but exemplarily show the individual subjective internal view of those affected and their partners with different disturbance patterns.
#UnvisibleSuffering is an idea of Angriff auf die Seele e. V. and was created in cooperation with the project "Mutmacher - Stark für Bundeswehrfamilien" (Courage Makers - Strong for Armed Forces Families) of the Deutschen Härtefallstiftung, the Catholic Family Foundation and expert advice from the Psychotrauma Centre of the German Armed Forces.
#Invisible Suffering is the campaign of the association "Angriff auf die Seele" - Psychosoziale Hilfe für Angehörige der Bundeswehr e.V. and uses these three short films for this purpose.
These versions with English subtitles were shown to a wide international audience of professionals at the Warrior Care Conference 2023 in Düsseldorf as part of the Invictus Games 2023.
