#InvisibleSuffering is a campaign to make visible the problems of active and former soldiers of the German Armed Forces with deployment-related trauma disorders and their family members.
This short film conveys the perspective of the therapists and social workers of the affected soldiers.
With #InvisibleSuffering, the creation of three impressive short films has succeeded. The films are deliberately not conceived as an external explanatory video in the form of a report, but rather exemplarily show the individual subjective internal view of those affected and their partners with different disturbance patterns after deployment stress.
#InvisibleSuffering is an idea of Angriff auf die Seele e. V. and was created in cooperation with the project "Mutmacher - Stark für Bundeswehrfamilien" (Courage Makers - Strong for Armed Forces Families) of the Deutschen Härtefallstiftung, the Catholic Family Foundation and expert advice from the Psychotrauma Centre of the German Armed Forces.
#InvisibleSuffering is the campaign of the association "Angriff auf die Seele" - Psychosoziale Hilfe für Angehörige der Bundeswehr e.V. and uses these three short films for this purpose.
These versions with English subtitles were shown to a wide international audience of professionals at the Warrior Care Conference 2023 in Düsseldorf as part of the Invictus Games 2023.
