EPEC-EPSC #PlanetaryScience4All EPSC 2020 competition entry:
Anthony Guimpier is a PhD student at the Laboratoire de Planétologie et Géodynamique. The title of his PhD is The geomorphology of gravitational instabilities on Mars using the CaSSIS imager on the ExoMars orbital probe. His research focuses on the geomorphology of the martian surface.
I am Anthony Guimpier, I'm a third year PhD student at the Laboratoire de Planétologie et Géodynamique in Nantes, France. During my PhD I study the origin of young landslides (less than 20 million years) located in an impact crater in the Nilosyrtis Mensae region of Mars. These landslides are very interesting because on one hand, water maybe involved in their formation. On the other hand, at time of their formation, liquid water is not supposed to be stable on the surface of Mars. So, I want to know how is this possible.
