Steve Rosenberg reading Russian newspaper which once again talks of "point of no return"

BBC Steve Rosenberg reads Russian newspapers and highlights "Izvestya" opinion piece titled "point of no return" in which the author says that "state and society must unite to the maximum and ditch unnecessary sentimentality", meaning to stop complaining about "domestic discomforts" and inability to return to the pre-war life. The author also calls Russians to "grit their teeth and wait through this difficult period".

This cliche has been used so many times in the past that is now probably almost entirely discredited and worn-out in Russia, as it has been used to excuse authorities incompetence in case of both natural disasters and numerous failures of Russian invasion on Ukraine.
