InstantOS is the new kid on the block in the world of Linux Tiling Window Managers. And it's key feature? It comes configured out of the box.

It's based on Arch and draws some of it's code from DWM, but it's a very different beast to the classic TWM.

Everything is pretty much setup from the get-go. All a new user needs to do is learn the keybindings, or use the mouse if they prefer, and start working.

This is still an early beta but it's already impressive.

It will appeal to anyone who always wanted to give a window manager a try, but was put off by the work that's usually required to configure one.

Give it a go, even if just in a virtual machine.

I predict that this will soon be amongst many people's favourites.
