This is a recording of a meeting held in Carmarthenshire in January 2025 to highlight links between the global climate emergency and the erosion of human rights. The meeting was organised with the help of Climate Cymru and the British Institute of Human Rights. It was prompted by the increasingly draconian reactions of the British government to climate protesters, who have themselves felt driven to take more disruptive and attention-grabbing actions because, despite years of warnings about the threat of global warming, the government was still not listening to their concerns.
