In past tutorials I've gone over how to make halftone patterns by tracing various images and design elements, but for this lesson we'll be making a simple gradient out of halftones.
There's no dedicated feature for this in Inkscape so we will have to design it manually using tiled clones applied to a standard linear gradient.
