How-to install Whoogle on Debian 11 with docker-compose

From start to finish, operating system installation included, this video shows you how to install Whoogle on Debian 11.6.0 with docker-compose. On Arch Linux, you have two options available for installation on my repository (https://userrepository.eu): whoogle and whoogle-git.

After installing the operating system and editing the docker-compose and env files, you can see me using Elinks to access the running Whoogle instance. By default, it runs on port 5000, but you can choose any free port you like. And don't forget to add the 'WHOOGLE_TOR_SERVICE=0' variable to the env file if you don't want Tor integration, as I show in the video, or the Tor service will start with Whoogle.

Whoogle is a self-hosted, ad-free, privacy-respecting search engine frontend for Google Search. If you want to continue using Google Search without all the tracking and data harvesting, Whoogle is probably the best option for you, IMO. The source code for Whoogle is available at https://github.com/benbusby/whoogle-search
