In this guide I walk through the process of finding your way around the Inkscape codebase, trying different fixes, recompiling and finally comiting and publishing your bug fix.

It assumes you have done two previous steps:

1. Built Inkscape following the getting started Guide: https://inkscape.org/develop/getting-started/
2. Found a problem to work on at https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/-/issues (don't worry if the problem looks hard, go to the next one!)
