In this video I show you How to Disable Cortana permanently by creating a registry key to disable it and then renaming its respawn folder.

TLDW open up registry editor goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows in the search bar right click on the "windows" directory and choose "New Key" enter "Windows Search" as the name,

Select the new Windows Search folder and right click in the white space to the right Choose New "DWORD (32-bit) Value" set the value to a Hex 0 (should be the default value) then open up the task manager find cortana process and open up the subprocesses, find the one named cortana right click on it and open the file location explorer.exe will start with a folder named Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy highlighted modify the name of this folder (you can just add a single character to the end) You'll get the UAC box, and then an error that it can't be renamed because the process is still open right click on the cortana process and kill it, then VERY QUICKLY go back to the error box and click try again Cortana is now permanently dead. :D
