Hokusai stop2 captions

We’ve moved on from the Hokusai crater to the southeast and the Hokusai crater was surrounded by smooth plains, so here we can see where these smooth plains come into contact with a more heavily cratered terrain to the south. This heavily cratered terrain is probably a lot older and the smooth plains, which we think are young lava flows have flowed over this landscape and partially buried it. Here you can see an impact crater that’s almost been completely covered by this smooth plains material.
